Vice President of Sales

The Vice President of Sales will direct and manage all sales and business development strategies and operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, compensation, staffing, and channel expansion and development.TheVPofSaleswillfoster collaboration among all departments, identify opportunities to bring efficiency to the business and add processes and measurability to each discipline. The VP of Sales will collaborate extensively with the rest of the executive team, the owners of the company and itsshareholders.


Job Duties

  • Drive consistent, sustainable and profitable sales growth for the compan.
  • Manage appropriate pricing strategies across various customer and product segments.
  • Determine most cost-efficient Sales overhead structure to achieve gross profit objectives.
  • Develop culture of accountability across sales organization.
  • Inspire and motivate sales team by assisting with design of optimal incentive models.
  • Develop sales pipeline that will ensure consistent new customer acquisitions.
  • Work with Operations team to determine appropriate service level strategies.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Contracts departments to identify proactive product alternatives/solutions for our customers.
  • Identify and help implement appropriate technologies to maximize sales team effectiveness.
  • Direct all Marketing and E-Commerce strategies for the company.
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company salesobjectives.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customersatisfaction.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team.
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategicopportunities.
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop keyrelationships.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales and Marketing or related field required - MBA desirable.

Salesand marketing management experience with five + years in a senior managementposition.


Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers andpartners.


Experience with implementation of a CRM.


Proven sales track record along with leveraging E-Commerce to drive sales.


Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environmen.


Experiencewith Business Intelligence applications,strong analytical capabilities - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint experience required.

Customer Service

Hill & Markes, Inc. is seekingprofessional, courteous, and experienced Customer Service Representatives. We handle a vast product line and work closely with our employees, customers, sales people, andother industry professionals. Job Duties

  • Handles customer calls courteously.
  • Handles customer problems, enters orders, and order status.
  • Attends to customer concerns, inquiries, and order requests.
  • Reviews buying history of customer and places special orders.
  • Develops and distributes order planner sheet for customers.
  • Suggestive selling to increase sales is encouraged.
  • Is responsible for following up to ensure customer receives order.
  • Is responsible for checking daily reports and call schedule.
  • Maintains open lines of communication with sales force about back orders, pricing, customer complaints, and any other related items.
  • Responsible for predetermined key accounts.
  • Prints reports and histories.
  • Reviews inventory status, tracks lost orders.
  • Updates, revises, and enters customer quotes into system.
  • Updates customerorder forms.
  • Establishes new accounts into system.
  • Processes credits/shortages/overcharges.
  • Makes arrangements for emergency deliveries.

Additional Duties:

  • Assists other customer service representatives.
  • Maintains current product knowledge.
  • Sends samples as necessary.
  • Ensures proper training and communication with designated back up.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor or other management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Two to threeyears of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.Excel experience is ideal for the qualified candidate

Ability to apply common senseto carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations; computer and data entry experience. Regional Sales Manager (Syracuse, NY)

The Regional Sales Manager, located in Syracuse, NY, will be responsible for a team of Sales Executives in thesurroundinggeographical area. As a Regional Manager you will work with your teamdailyto achieve growth by hitting sales targets assigned by the company.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Achieve growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing assigned sales team.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Present new solutions, contracts, or products to new and existing customers.
  • Identify lost business using Business Intelligence software and present new solutions to gain back their business.
  • Work with Marketing and Manufacturers to ensurebrand consistency.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Sales and Marketing or other related field.

Sales and Marketing experience with at least two (2) years in a management role overseeing Sales employees.

Strong ability to train and lead a team.

Familiarity with CRM software ?experience with implementation of CRM highly desirable.

NYS Driver License required.

Experience with Business Intelligence applications, strong analytical capabilities ?Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint Experience required.
