Vice President of Sales

The Vice President of Sales will direct and manage all sales and business development strategies and operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, compensation, staffing, and channel expansion and development.TheVPofSaleswillfoster collaboration among all departments, identify opportunities to bring efficiency to the business and add processes and measurability to each discipline. The VP of Sales will collaborate extensively with the rest of the executive team, the owners of the company and itsshareholders.

Job Duties

  • Drive consistent, sustainable and profitable sales growth for the compan.
  • Manage appropriate pricing strategies across various customer and product segments.
  • Determine most cost-efficient Sales overhead structure to achieve gross profit objectives.
  • Develop culture of accountability across sales organization.
  • Inspire and motivate sales team by assisting with design of optimal incentive models.
  • Develop sales pipeline that will ensure consistent new customer acquisitions.
  • Work with Operations team to determine appropriate service level strategies.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Contracts departments to identify proactive product alternatives/solutions for our customers.
  • Identify and help implement appropriate technologies to maximize sales team effectiveness.
  • Direct all Marketing and E-Commerce strategies for the company.
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company salesobjectives.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customersatisfaction.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team.
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategicopportunities.
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop keyrelationships.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales and Marketing or related field required - MBA desirable.

Salesand marketing management experience with five + years in a senior managementposition.

Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers andpartners.

Experience with implementation of a CRM.

Proven sales track record along with leveraging E-Commerce to drive sales.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environmen.

Experiencewith Business Intelligence applications,strong analytical capabilities - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint experience required.
