Applications System Analyst (Amsterdam, NY)

Position Overview

The Applications Systems Analyst will work in a support role, mainly with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system users at all levels of the organization. The position will require a thorough knowledge of the ERP systems software, 3rd party software associated with the ERP and related database schema. In addition, this position will assist with reporting and analysis projects as requested and will assist the Senior Applications Systems Analyst with other duties as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction, assistance and support services to ERP system end-users in a courteous, efficient and timely manner.
  • Create custom queries and reports as requested by ERP system end-users.
  • Acts as liaison between application end-users and technical support.
  • Assist with testing of new applications, system functionality and modifications of ERP system.
  • Utilize knowledge of ERP systems to assist in identifying process improvement throughout organization.
  • Assist outsourced IT department on various needs, assist with resolving Help Desk tickets in a timely manner.
  • Assist management with project management as necessary.
  • Daily responsibilities can vary greatly and an adaptive work approach is preferred.

Education & Experience

  • Associates Degree or commensurate experience preferred, but not required
  • Crystal Reports experience a plus
  • Microsoft Office experience required
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Effective Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • ERP, SX Enterprise Information Software a plus

  • Personable, outgoing, reliable, works well with others
  • Strong initiative, eager to learn
  • Desire to help people be successful with their job duties and responsibilities
